In the first quarter of 2026, Foton Trucks delivered an impressive performance, with cumulative sales reaching nearly 184,000 units—an increase of nearly 8% year-on-year. Multiple Breakthroughs in the Heavy-Duty Truck Segment: Bulk Deliveries Consolidate Leading Position

In the first quarter, Foton Auman heavy-duty trucks achieved large-scale deliveries across multiple regions nationwide, covering core scenarios such as trunk logistics, port transport, energy transport and express freight routes, thereby continuously consolidating its market advantage.

On the eve of the Lunar New Year, Foton Auman delivered 210 Galaxy series heavy-duty trucks on-site in Yinchuan, Ningxia, fully meeting local demands for trunk transport, distribution, hazardous chemical transport and green channel transport. On 8 January, 54 Auman Galaxy 5M battery-swap heavy-duty trucks were delivered to Yantian Port to support the port’s green and efficient operations. On 20 January, Auman entered into a strategic partnership with Beijing Hongxiang Logistics, delivering 50 Starwing tractor units to focus on efficient operations in express freight trunk routes.

On 25 January, the Auman Galaxy new energy heavy-duty truck was launched in Shanxi, with 166 units signed for and delivered on the spot, precisely tailored to the transport of bulk commodities such as coal and aggregates; on 28 February, the Auman Galaxy new energy heavy-duty truck made its debut in Shenzhen, where 98 units were signed under a strategic partnership and the first batch of vehicles was delivered, injecting fresh momentum into the green transition of logistics in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area… The completion of a series of large-scale orders fully demonstrates Auman heavy-duty lorries’ dual market competitiveness in both traditional and new energy sectors.

Comprehensive Coverage Across Light-Duty Lorry Segments: Continued Industry Leadership in Niche Markets

In the first quarter, Foton’s light-duty lorry division focused on core scenarios such as express delivery, cold-chain logistics and specialised distribution. By leveraging new energy and intelligent products, the division achieved breakthroughs across multiple sectors, with a succession of bulk orders secured, maintaining its leading position in niche markets.

In the express and freight sector, a handover ceremony between Foton Times and Yunda Express was successfully held in Weifang, Shandong on 8 February. A batch of 500 new vehicles from the Linghang series was delivered on the spot, with the collaboration covering the Linghang M5 New Energy, Linghang M5 diesel and Linghang G5 New Energy models, comprehensively serving intra-city express transport scenarios. To date, Times Auto has established extensive partnerships with leading express and freight companies including China Post, SF Express, YTO Express and ZTO Express. High repeat purchase rates serve as clear evidence of the market’s recognition of these products.

In the cold chain logistics sector, Foton Aumark continued to make inroads in key markets such as the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area during the first quarter, On 13 March, they delivered 50 Aumark Zhilan ES1 refrigerated trucks to a cold chain enterprise in Shaoguan, Guangdong; on 17 March, they delivered 100 Aumark Zhilan hydrogen-powered refrigerated trucks to Hydrogen Era; and on 28 March, they delivered 50 Aumark Z all-electric refrigerated trucks to a leading cold chain enterprise in Beijing, whilst simultaneously signing a strategic cooperation agreement for a further 100 units, thereby supporting the cold chain industry in enhancing quality and efficiency through their full product range.

Comprehensive Market Coverage in the Coach Sector: Green Mobility Drives Upgrades in Cultural and Tourism Passenger Transport

In the first quarter, leveraging the strengths of its Foton Ouhui coaches and Tuyao light commercial vehicles, the company focused on core scenarios such as intercity passenger transport, tourism travel and premium commuting. In January, it delivered BJ6826 all-electric intercity coaches to the Baoding Transport Group in Hebei, supporting the upgrade of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei short-distance passenger transport network; it also made a bulk delivery of BJ6126 all-electric intercity coaches to Guangzhou Keluoda Express Co., Ltd., serving high-end passenger transport scenarios in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. In February, the company made a bulk delivery of various intercity coach models to Lanzhou Kangda Tourism Passenger Transport, including high-end models such as the BJ6906U6AHB-1, BJ6906U5AHB-1 and BJ6116U8BHB-1. Furthermore, during the first quarter, the company also delivered multiple customised coach models in batches to enterprises such as Shangri-La Shengzhixing and Gansu Xinjinqiao Travel Coach, comprehensively covering diverse cultural and tourism travel scenarios including high-altitude regions and the Silk Road.

The Foton Tuyao passenger transport series has achieved multiple breakthroughs simultaneously. In the first quarter, the Tuyao X8 was delivered in bulk to Huaihua in Hunan, Yunnan and Shanxi, where it has been put into service on local intercity routes; in Haikou, Hainan, a bulk delivery of the Tuyao X8 EV was made to a leading domestic passenger transport company, further expanding the tourism passenger transport market… From the Yangtze River Delta to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region to the north-western and south-western hinterlands, Foton Trucks continues to provide equipment support for the green and intelligent upgrading of the national passenger transport industry through its comprehensive product portfolio.

Whilst the domestic market is flourishing in multiple areas, Foton Trucks’s ‘comprehensive internationalisation’ strategy continues to bear fruit. Overseas sales reached 54,000 units in the first quarter, representing a year-on-year increase of 34.4 per cent. This has maintained China’s position as the leading exporter of commercial vehicles for 15 consecutive years, driving ‘Made in China’ to accelerate its global expansion.

In January and February, Foton Trucks achieved significant breakthroughs in high-end overseas markets, with orders in the European market rising by 136% year-on-year. The company’s exports of Chinese-made pick-up trucks and light commercial vehicles ranked first in Europe. In particular, the electric light commercial vehicle solution customised for Spain perfectly met local urban eco-friendly transport needs, earning recognition in the European high-end market. Growth in emerging markets has been robust, with orders in the African market surging by 126.7% year-on-year. All vehicle categories have performed impressively. Leveraging the Port Elizabeth plant in South Africa to achieve ‘African demand, local smart manufacturing’, the company is simultaneously making forward-looking moves in the new energy sector, providing Chinese solutions for local green development. To date, Foton has established 52 smart manufacturing bases worldwide, with cumulative overseas sales exceeding 1.27 million units.
